Using charcoal and erasers to create the different values in a realistic portrait! Using both vine and compressed charcoal, explore the art of subtractive portrait drawing. This is a great intuitive process, that does not rely on advanced portrait drawing skills.

Participants will experiment with basic tie-dye and shibori techniques to fold, roll, bind, or manipulate lightweight organic cotton bandannas. Multiple natural dye pots will be available, for different color options.
