We will be learning how to make a chosen shape out of sheet metal (either brass or copper) with a jeweler’s saw. Next, we will learn how to measure and prepare the metal to either drill a hole or use a hole puncher to create holes. We will also be learning how to clean sharp edges and drill slag with a file or flexshaft abrasive. Basic torch skills will be taught with safety. And basic finishing processes for copper and brass jewelry.
Students, please bring if you have them: flat nose pliers, round nose pliers, cutters, jeweler’s saw, hole puncher, file, any flexshaft attachments for removing sharp edges and finishing.
