Newfound Artisan
Add to Trip

Newfound Artisan in downtown Brevard occupies a building that was built in 1946. Over the years it has been many things including a Jewelry store that operated for about 30 years. It is also down the road from the site of a former tannery which helped bring economic success to the town in the early 20th century. Newfound Artisan carries on these craft traditions by creating its own lines of leather work and jewelry and offers a wide range of other handcrafted work.

Opened in December of 2022, Newfound Artisan includes retail space, a leather shop, and a metal studio. Leather goods and jewelry are produced and sold on-site. The space includes several custom elements added with the help of a few local artisans. Custom barn doors are made from recycled barn wood and reclaimed farm equipment, curtain rods for the leather shop and dressing room were fabricated by a local welder, signs and window painting were done by local crafter/sign painter. Through each of these details, Newfound Artisan strives to honor the craft history in Brevard while extending that same legacy.

Visitors to Newfound Artisan will find a fully functional leather shop and a metal studio where they craft high quality leather goods and metal jewelry. The gallery also features a curated offering of handmade items from a variety of local and regional artisans. Mediums offered include wood, metal, clay, glass, fiber, and more. They also offer made in America clothing & workwear.
