Bridget Herbig Joins Blue Ridge National Heritage Staff as New Communications Manager

Bridget Herbig, Communications ManagerThe Blue Ridge National Heritage Area (BRNHA) welcomes Bridget Herbig as its new Communications Manager. Herbig brings over 15 years of communications experience to the role, along with her passion for crafts and music. Herbig began her editorial career working with various book and digital publishing companies. She developed her communication skills in operations management, providing clarity and guidance to staff, clients, and customers. These skills and experiences make her a valuable asset in keeping BRNHA’s projects and goals moving forward and creating conversations between the community, counties, and organizations.

“Going into this new role, I want to support the people and places involved in creating Western North Carolina’s culture. The area’s people, history, and nature contribute to the region’s diverse creativity and beauty. I want to help others see those connections.

“We are excited to welcome Bridget to BRNHA,” said BRNHA Executive Director Angie Chandler. Bridget’s background in digital and traditional publishing, her organizational skills and her creativity will be a great asset to serving partners throughout Western North Carolina.”

Originally from Illinois, Herbig moved to the region to explore the mountains and be near family. When not working, she hikes and studies nature. Her creative background includes fiber arts, specifically knitting and embroidery.
