Madison County Arts Council Four Master Fiddlers Win Prestigious Paul Green Multi Media Award

The Madison County Arts Council is proud to announce that its production, Four Master Fiddlers, has been awarded the coveted Paul Green Multimedia Award from the North Carolina Society of Historians.  The Society received 642 entries in eleven categories including historical fiction, publishing, journals and museums.  Eight-three awards were given.  “The North Carolina Society of Historians has been in existence since 1941,” said Laura Boosinger, Executive Director of the Madison County Arts Council.  “We are honored to be selected for this august award.  We want everyone across North Carolina to know about our treasured fiddling traditions.  This DVD gives folks an intimate picture of our musicians and their talents.”  The Four Master Fiddlers DVD is available at The Madison County Arts Council  or by visiting www.madisoncountyarts.com  To learn more about The North Carolina Society of Historians visit www.ncsocietyofhistorians.org.
